About the role
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring an experienced Sr. Medical Laboratory Scientist to work full-time days in the Chemistry section of the clinical lab. A generous sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates.
As a Sr. Laboratory Scientist, you will perform laboratory testing and interpret test results using scientific knowledge and principles of test procedures and disease processes. You will recommend contingency testing and are directly responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing daily technical operations, including staff training and education, implementation of instrumentation, and accreditation readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or Biology/Chemical Science
- ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification
- 3 years of laboratory tech experience (required)
- Chemistry experience (preferred)
