About the Role
Media Specialist Technical Account Managers (TAMs) work across all AWS Elemental media products and CloudFront, applying their product knowledge to key customer projects during specification, development, deployment, and acceptance phases to deploy video workflows. They collaborate closely with Media Specialist Solutions Architecture (SA) teams in AWS Sales, AWS Professional Services, and AWS Support TAMs to ensure long-term customer success.
Responsibilities
- Complete onboarding and off-boarding requirements for assigned key customers.
- Own customer health dashboards for media workflows, working with AWS TAMs and Technical Project Managers.
- Define detailed customer project requirements and scope feature tickets across AWS Elemental products and with AWS Solutions Architects.
- Interface with customer project managers and technical owners to understand requirements and deliver product releases.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to prioritize customer requirements.
- Work with Engineering managers to ensure delivery of product features.
- Advocate for and manage the availability of customer test environments.
- Verify implemented product features and test multi-product customer project workflows.
- Communicate with customers and internally across, up, and down customer organizations.
- Mentor junior Media Specialist TAMs and Engineers.
- Define and implement team-level metrics and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
- Experience in an external enterprise customer-facing role as a technical lead.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to large and small audiences.
- 3+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience, or degree in advanced technology.
- 3+ years of solving problems with technology in the Media & Entertainment Industry.
- 4+ years of technical project management, technical account management, or professional services consulting experience with customer-facing responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- Experience with video processing technologies (MPEG2 / AVC / HEVC / MPEGTS).
- Knowledge of adaptive bitrate video streaming and delivery technologies.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud providers in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
Pay
The base salary range for this position varies by location:
- USA, CA, Sunnyvale: $176,600.00 - $239,000.00 USD annually
- USA, OR, Portland: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
Final compensation includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
