About the role

As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer in our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team, you will utilize your extensive knowledge and experience in Mechanical Engineering to solve both novel and complex assignments that require the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tasks, build a resource plan for completion of these tasks, and track progress.
  • Apply statistical techniques and utilize design of experiments.
  • Perform CAD modeling of electromechanical assemblies to support the release of new designs and craft improvements to existing designs.
  • Develop test strategies to demonstrate designs meet requirements and specifications.
  • Handle the dissemination of engineering documentation.
  • May be required to advise on a technical specialty, type of facility, equipment or program function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of graduate-level education and experience.
  • Technical leadership experience in a highly focused cross-functional team environment on a large development project is preferred.
  • Experience with mechanical CAD tools (preferably SolidWorks 2019), DFSS, FEA, material selection, sheet metal design and fabrication, plastic injection molded part design, tooling and qualification, tolerance analysis, GD&T.
  • Significant knowledge and proficiency with SolidWorks 2019, ISO and ANSI Y14.5 drawing standards, plastic injection molded part design, tooling design and qualification process, tolerance analysis, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, and material selection and other mechanical part fabrication processes.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to apply sophisticated mathematical concepts to tasks such as statics, kinetics, strength of materials, reliability testing, analysis of variance, correlation studies, sampling theory, and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
