Sr Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team responsible for the design, development, analysis, and validation of innovative electro-mechanical products. This position offers the opportunity to work on products from initial concept through manufacturing release while playing a key role in product innovation, technical leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Product Design & Development
- Lead the design, analysis, and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept through production.
- Create detailed assembly drawings, part drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Develop and present multiple design concepts to engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Design for manufacturability, assembly, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Engineering Analysis & Validation
- Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and DFMEA/FMEA activities to improve product performance and reliability.
- Develop and execute testing and validation plans.
- Analyze product performance and implement design improvements.
- Evaluate finished products to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Documentation & Process Improvement
- Collaborate with Document Control to create and maintain:
- 2D drawings
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Engineering documentation packages
- Prepare engineering reports, performance analyses, and technical recommendations.
- Continuously improve engineering processes, workflows, and design standards.
- Collaborate with Document Control to create and maintain:
- Manufacturing & Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to support product releases and production activities.
- Review fabrication, assembly, and installation processes to ensure successful product implementation.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and design optimization efforts.
- Research emerging technologies and recommend new tools, processes, and design solutions.
- Technical Leadership
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership on engineering projects.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities while ensuring timely delivery of design objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks for design and analysis.
- Strong experience with:
- Mechanical design
- Injection molded plastic part design
- Sheet metal design
- Electro-mechanical packaging
- High-volume manufacturing environments
- Experience conducting:
- FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
- DFMEA/FMEA
- Design Validation Testing
- Strong understanding of:
- GD&T
- Product lifecycle management
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Engineering documentation and drafting standards
Qualifications
- Experience with PCB layout and electronics packaging.
- Experience designing consumer products and electro-mechanical devices.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and validation testing methods.
- Experience supporting new product development from concept through production.
- Strong background in automated and manual assembly processes.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 per year. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Schedule
Flexible first-shift schedule (typically 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
