Sr Mechanical Design Engineer Manager
About the role
As a Sr. Manager Global Design at Honeywell Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS), you will shape the design strategy and direction for our global energy and sustainability solutions. You will lead a team of designers, driving the development and implementation of innovative and user-centered design solutions for customers across industries. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define design goals and requirements, ensuring products are visually appealing, intuitive, and meet customer needs. You will report directly to the Director, Chemical Engineer and work from our Tulsa, OK or Rosemont, IL location on a hybrid work schedule.
For the first 90 days, new hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical design engineers to develop and deliver high-quality products.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and efficiency.
- Lead and manage a team of designers to create innovative and user-centered design solutions.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to define design goals and requirements.
- Develop and implement design strategies and guidelines.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality design solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in design, with significant leadership experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in design tools and software.
Qualifications
You must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 12+ years of design experience with leadership responsibilities.

Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $167,000 – $209,000. This serves as a general guideline; actual offers may vary based on scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, key skills, and market considerations.
Relocation support may be provided.
