About the role

Join the Material and Process (M&P) team at RTX, supporting various product lines in the North Texas region. As a Senior Material and Process Engineer, you will drive business success by providing engineering expertise to solve technical challenges in hardware compatibility, operational endurance, manufacturability, and producibility. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineers, supply chain, operations, and program authority, to resolve pressing technical design and producibility issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage materials in Common Product Data Management (cPDM), including gear part and material drawing maintenance and sustainment activities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend material and process improvements to meet new product requirements.
  • Create and maintain material and process specifications.
  • Serve as part of a rapid response team addressing factory manufacturing interruptions due to M&P specification issues.
  • Verify incoming shelf-life-controlled materials.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience interpreting technical datasheets, Mil-Standard, and ASTM.
  • High level of professional technical writing skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with data-driven approaches.
  • Advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
