Sr. Manufacturing Engineer (Onsite)

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Collins Aerospace, you will lead and provide technical guidance to junior engineers on the manufacturing engineering team. Your work will support production Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics while driving process improvements and solving production challenges.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to processes, tooling, fixtures, or equipment.
• Recommend improvements for new technological equipment and materials.
• Drive Root Cause Corrective Actions and implement process improvements to prevent recurrence of Safety or Quality issues.
• Support Quality Control plans and Safety compliance actions.
• Propose sequences of operations and specify procedures for fabrication, assembly, disassembly, and repairs to optimize efficiency and product performance.
• Participate in developing manufacturing processes for new product integration.
• Develop and implement measurements throughout production stages to monitor and control variables.
• Design and arrange plant facilities for efficient and productive layouts.
• Manage high-value Process Improvement projects from engineering justification through implementation, validation, and related tasks.
• Perform pre-production analysis on process and tooling/equipment readiness.
• Conduct engineering analysis to adjust complex manufacturing processes for quality results.
• Recommend design changes to enhance manufacturability of products.

Requirements

• University Degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence (U.S. citizenship required for this role).

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all organizational levels.
• Solid presentation skills, including the ability to analyze, prepare, and deliver leadership presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Pay

The salary range for this role is $95,500 – $181,700 USD. The range reflects all experience levels, and RTX considers factors such as role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills when extending an offer.
