Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - New Product Introduction

About the role

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a detail oriented, goal focused individual to be a Product Manufacturing Engineer working on the New Product Introduction (NPI) team for Hot Section Module Center (HSMC), located onsite in Asheville, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing producibility feedback of new designs as a member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) with engineering.
• Cook with supporting process MEs to ensure a balanced and healthy value stream.
• Ensure the advancement of MRL and APQP activities through risk identification and closure plan execution.
• Drive targeted manufacturing process improvement/optimization activities.
• Utilize the Agile framework for managing and prioritizing tasks.
• Create and manage schedules ensuring on time delivery of development and FAI hardware.
• Integrate with Quality, Operations, and Suppliers to ensure schedule needs are planned and executed.
• Communicate task status in a highly visible environment concisely and clearly.
• Up to 10% domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / industrial management or other related Bachelors’ degree
• 5+ years operations or engineering experience
• 3+ years’ experience with an advanced degree
• Experience and knowledge of machining and coating manufacturing processes
• Strong project management skills
• US Citizenship required due to requirement to obtain and maintain secret clearance
