Sr. Manager, Sub-Regional Lead NA West
About the role
The Sr. Manager, Sub-Regional Lead provides strategic security and crisis response services to all cross-sector J&J companies in the North America West subregion. Reporting directly to the J&J Global Security Regional Security Director North America, this role is responsible for developing and implementing crisis response plans, overseeing site security, conducting security risk assessments, and managing executive protection.
Responsibilities
- Crisis Response and Employee Support: Develop crisis response and employee support plans, support CMTs, coordinate employee support actions, and conduct internal investigations.
- Site Security: Perform security risk and gap assessments, develop and implement site risk mitigation programs, and liaise with local law enforcement.
- Security SPOC: Represent J&J GS in security-related topics during government inspections and J&J audits.
- Travel Security: Support the travel security program, including hotel assessments, travel guidance development, and security plan development for high-risk travel.
- Executive Protection: Coordinate security for high-profile executives, conduct security assessments at private residences, and advise the J&J Real Estate team on property selection.
- Event Security: Conduct security risk assessments for large or high-risk meetings and events, and provide security recommendations.
- Functional Competencies: Demonstrate passion for protecting people and company interests, maintain a critical mindset, communicate openly and candidly, and build effective relationships.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Criminology, Police Sciences, Security Management, or another relevant area; Master’s Degree desired.
- Experience: At least 10 years in a corporate security management role, preferably in a multi-national environment; proven track record in crisis management, project management, physical security strategies, and innovation.
- Skills: Proficiency in English, proficiency in Spanish a plus; CPP – PSP certification a plus; agile decision making, budget management, compliance management, crisis management, emergency planning, facility management, organizing, premises management, risk management, security framework, security monitoring, security program development, standard operating procedure (SOP), technical credibility, vendor management, workplace security awareness.
Benefits
For Bay Area, the anticipated base pay range is $142,000.00 - $244,950.00. Employees are eligible for a variety of benefits including vacation, sick time, holiday pay, personal and family time, parental leave, caregiver leave, volunteer leave, military spouse time-off, and more. Additionally, employees are eligible for the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
