About the role
The Sr. Manager Sales Training role is located in the Nutrition Division of Abbott in Columbus, OH. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system, developing and implementing a comprehensive multi-year training strategy for all parts of the sales organization, and ensuring the delivery of training programs and sales meetings.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year training strategy for all parts of the sales organization (both new hires and current employees).
- Customize and fully implement fundamental and advanced selling skills training.
- Maintain and expand the implementation of manager coaching training.
- Educate executive management relationships both internally and externally to provide added value to training programs and delivery.
- Ensure that field trainers are prepared and qualified to conduct appropriate training in the field.
- Assess on an ongoing basis the effectiveness of materials and training class structure.
- Lead developmental programs for District Sales Trainers across the US.
- Conduct field travel minimally 2 weeks/quarter to assess Sales Trainers and Sales Representatives.
- Support key stakeholders in Home Office (Columbus, OH) 50-75% of time to conduct in-person meetings.
- Support DVP of Sales, Dir., Sales and Sr. Manager of Sales Ops as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 9-5 years successful experience in managing people & growing talent
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrated superior selling/support skills and product knowledge in previous assignments

Pay
The base pay for this position is $129,300.00 – $258,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
