Dacor, the luxury appliance brand within Samsung, is seeking an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, this role plans and manages all facets of product marketing for the Luxury Appliances category, including go-to-market strategy, pricing, promotional campaigns, collateral development, and monitoring of competitive activity. The role ensures key metrics (e.g., revenue, margin, profit, market share) are monitored and met, collaborates with cross-functional teams for accurate forecasting and inventory alignment, and equips sales teams with the understanding and content needed to position Dacor products against the competition.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and drives the execution of the product marketing plan for Dacor Luxury Appliances to meet P&L goals and KPIs.
  • P&L Ownership: Leverages the financial target planning (TP) process to set and monitor monthly customer sales targets, allocate promotional spending, and drive inventory forecast accuracy.
  • Product Lifecycle Planning and Execution: Drives product launch planning and go-to-market implementation for a strategic product line-up, including supply chain alignment, marketing plans, promotional bundling, assortment planning, and merchandising.
  • Manages marketing activities and promotion investments across the lifecycle of individual products or categories to drive sales and profitability (e.g., market analysis, planning/pricing, product launch, inventory management, product retirement).
  • Works with Samsung HQ to identify new model capabilities and release dates in advance to ensure timely development of promotional material and inventory clearance strategies.
  • Collaborates with the demand generation team to create Above-the-Line (ATL), Below-the-Line (BTL), and advertising materials, online assets, collateral, and training.
  • Sales Forecast Optimization: Closely monitors and analyzes category market performance, sales feedback, and reseller inventory (sell-in/sell-out ratio) to resolve business challenges.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborates with product supply to effectively manage inventory, optimizing sales while minimizing on-hand quantities.
  • Collaborates with sales teams and customers to develop key customer-specific sell-in and sell-through strategies, programs, and pricing, including pitch presentations to retailers and buying groups.
  • Transitions from a support role to a decision-making and people-management role as a surrogate Director when necessary.
  • Works with senior leadership and maintains consistent relationships with Korean Business Managers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.). MBA preferred.
  • 10-12 years of experience in brand and/or product management, with P&L ownership experience.
  • Experience in appliances, luxury appliances, luxury plumbing and building products, or the luxury kitchen market and related industry preferred.
  • Considers dealers, trade partners, and end-users when designing product and go-to-market strategies, applying consumer learnings to decision-making.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to estimate promotional sales lifts, sales forecasts, and sales opportunities for new product launches.
  • Experience managing retail markets across multiple channels.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships with Sales and other internal teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management—internally and externally.
  • Experience creating and presenting compelling presentations to executives at Dacor, Samsung, and customers.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
