Sr. Manager, Process Technology - Global Employer Services Technology Center
About the role
The Senior Manager of Process Technology for the Global Employer Services Technology team leads execution to improve efficiency across our global technology platform (GlobalAdvantage - GA) and local processes. This role drives process transformation, automation, and core technology operations across global platforms, country processes, and individual deliverables. The role also turns ideas into outcomes by aligning business priorities with technology execution across GES teams. It requires strong program and project management, but it is not a PMO role. Success is measured by delivery, adoption, and business impact.
Responsibilities
- Leading innovation, built efforts, products, and business-as-usual support operations across Process Technology
- Owning timelines, priorities, delivery quality, and business outcomes tied to technology investments and value realization
- Oversees platform stability, enhancement planning, and continuous improvement across core tools and processes
- Applies lessons learned across platforms and markets to improve consistency and efficiency
- Driving standardization, automation, and operational reliability across global platform and country-level processes
- Promotes AI/tech capability while preparing execution-ready recommendations for US Technology Government Board, guiding transformation initiatives from idea through deployment, and supporting adoption across the business
- Partnering with Global Technology teams, process excellence teams, and other stakeholders to evaluate feasibility and align delivery approaches
Required qualifications
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 - 3 days per week
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in Process Technology with demonstrated experience leading technology teams delivering digital products, process transformation, and operational improvements
- Strong skills in Python-based solutions, workflow automation, and software delivery practices
- Demonstrated experience with generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) / large language model (LLM) solutions, including prompt design, orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), evaluations, and guardrails
- Successful experience defining and tracking adoption, cycle-time reduction, quality, and operational impact metrics
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- One of the following active accreditations obtained:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
- If not CPA eligible: Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC), Alteryx Designer- Advanced Certification, IASA's Certified IT Architect (CITA) (F/A Level), Open Group Certified Architect (Open CA), Certified SAFe® DevOps Practitioner, or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in tax technology or enterprise workflow/process technology environments
- Experience with processing, optical character recognition (OCR), workflow tools, and production support models
- Experience with data privacy, security, and governance considerations for enterprise technology and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions
- Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methods
Skills
- Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs), Structured Query Language (SQL), extract, transform, load / extract, load, transform (ETL/ELT), data pipelines, automation, and enterprise integration patterns, including evaluation of architecture options and scalable solution design
- Strong stakeholder management with ability to communicate technical decisions to business leaders and manage pushback during transformation
- Agile execution mindset with ability to lead in fast-paced environments with incomplete requirements
- AI and market fluency, with strong adaptability: Knowledge of AI tools and market trends, plus the ability to adjust quickly as the landscape evolves
- Execution and leadership: Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, work independently and collaboratively, and mentor others with clear guidance
Pay
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $167,325 to $278,875. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
