Iconic brand ghd is a global leader in high-end professional hair styling tools. The Senior Manager, Performance Marketing is a strategic, cross-channel role responsible for setting direction and driving performance outcomes across ghd’s core revenue channels, including DTC, Amazon, and Retailer.com ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Own and set the performance marketing strategy and channel roadmap across paid search, paid social, affiliate, influencer, retail media (including Amazon On-Site & DSP and Criteo/Retailer.com), and emerging channels.
- Lead the strategic relationship with performance agencies, establishing clear direction, priorities, testing agendas, and success metrics.
- Hold agencies accountable for delivering against agreed KPIs, experimentation roadmaps, and optimization plans.
- Direct cross-channel alignment between DTC, Amazon, and Retail Media strategies to ensure cohesive execution and efficient investment.
- Partner with Finance and Analytics to inform forecasting, performance readouts, and post-campaign analysis, providing clear inputs and recommendations (without direct budget ownership).
- Evaluate new platforms, partners, and media opportunities, making recommendations on where agencies should test, scale, or deprioritize.
- Act as accountable agency sponsor to drive success in the relationship, set strategic priorities, hold agency and internal teams accountable, and represent the partnership’s work to senior local and global leadership.
- Define and optimize end-to-end customer journeys across paid, owned, retail media, and commerce touchpoints to improve acquisition, conversion, and repeat purchase behavior.
- Partner cross-functionally to identify growth opportunities, remove friction in the customer journey, and improve marketing efficiency across channels.
- Guide measurement strategy in partnership with Analytics, including MMM, MTA/MMT, incrementality testing, match-market testing, attribution, and cross-channel performance analysis.
- Translate performance, investment, and customer journey data into clear, decision-oriented insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Define and drive the test-and-learn agenda across paid media, measurement, and customer journey initiatives, ensuring learnings are documented, shared, and operationalized.
- Partner with Finance and Analytics to develop data-driven investment recommendations, media allocation frameworks, and budget optimization strategies across channels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- 5–10 years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, media strategy, or marketing analytics roles.
- Strong experience working through agencies to execute ads or manage platforms.
- Solid understanding of paid media channels, including search, social, affiliate, influencer, and retail media (Amazon Ads, DSP, Criteo/Retailer.com).
- Experience developing customer journey strategies, growth frameworks, and cross-channel performance plans that improve marketing effectiveness and business outcomes.
- Familiarity with measurement approaches such as MMM, MTA/MMT, incrementality testing, match-market testing, attribution, and media effectiveness analysis.
- Experience developing investment strategies and budget allocation recommendations using data, testing frameworks, and commercial performance insights.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and agencies.
- Commercially minded and comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Experience in beauty, fashion, or premium consumer brands is a plus.

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills, and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 salary per year.
