About the Role

Located in either Everett, WA or Burbank, CA, the Sr. Manager, Licensing (Studios and Video Games) will oversee Funko’s rapidly growing partnerships within its Entertainment portfolio, supporting the Hardlines business and reporting directly to the VP, Licensing and Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Business Planning & Account Management (50%):
    • Manage Entertainment partnerships (assigned), including forecasting, relationship brokering, contract negotiation/review, and addressing business needs.
    • Conduct calendarized business reviews by partner.
    • Identify new business and revenue opportunities with Sales and senior leadership, ensuring contractual coverage and expanding Pop! line extensions.
    • Develop strategies and business plans by retailer, brand, and property.
  • Cross-Functional Category Management (40%):
    • Ensure timely research and response to licensor requests.
    • Analyze competitive landscape, market trends, consumer trends, and industry needs.
    • Partner with Royalties to analyze account performance and develop growth plans by licensor and product lines.
    • Implement product, merchandising, and marketing strategies to maximize sales and meet contractual commitments.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Joint Business Planning teams on assortment, retail planning, and sales pitches.
  • Cross-Functional Merchandising and Product Development (10%):
    • Partner with Merchandising and Creative teams to support innovation and go-to-market strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual rights and protocols in collaboration with Product Development.
    • Act as liaison between Funko Product Development and Licensor Product Development.
    • Share licensor materials and updates across Funko divisions.

Requirements

  • A panache for problem-solving and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • A strong sense of prioritization and self-governance.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of direct IP merch, fashion categories, or adjacent licensing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experienced written and verbal communication skills; must be confident, fluid, and persuasive.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $130,500 annually. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses or incentives.

Work Environment

The noise level is usually moderate. The role requires regular sitting, use of hands, and communication. Frequent reaching with hands and arms, occasional standing/walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds (occasionally up to 25 pounds). This position is based in Burbank, CA.
