Sr. Manager IT Operations
About the role
The Sr. Manager of IT Operations is responsible for overseeing the infrastructure, systems engineering, application administration, cloud infrastructure, service desk, and WMS/MFG support functions at BSF. This role requires deep technical knowledge and hands-on leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of six direct reports: systems engineers, manufacturing systems analysts, and service desk personnel.
- Assess BSF's current on-premises infrastructure and develop a prioritized cloud migration plan in partnership with the CIO.
- Own the infrastructure layer of BSF's Azure environment, distinct from the data platform layer owned by the Data Engineering team.
- Evaluate cloud platforms and make vendor recommendations based on BSF's technical needs and long-term direction.
- Ensure BSF's infrastructure and systems are stable, monitored, and maintained to a high standard.
- Manage BSF's day-to-day IT security operations in partnership with the CIO.
- Administer business applications in an operational context, including ERP user management, access governance, and change control.
- Manage identity and access governance across the organization.
- Represent IT Operations honestly in cross-functional conversations, clearly communicating infrastructure and systems needs.
- Manage a team of six or more direct reports across varied technical disciplines and experience levels.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading infrastructure, systems, and operations teams, hands-on cloud experience in Azure, AWS, or equivalent, ITIL certification or demonstrated ITIL-based service management experience, deep experience with Microsoft Azure and Entra ID, experience administering business applications in an operational context, and experience with WMS or manufacturing systems.
Qualifications

- Hands-on cloud experience in Azure, AWS, or equivalent.
- ITIL certification or demonstrated ITIL-based service management experience.
- Deep experience with Microsoft Azure and Entra ID.
