About the role

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in handling complex employee and labor relations matters and serve as a strategic partner to managers, leaders, and the function across the organization. This individual will play a key leadership role in managing employee and labor relations programs across the El Segundo location.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and coach leaders on resolving employee performance issues, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflicts.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances while ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive work culture.
  • Serve as a key contact for union representatives and manage labor-management relationships.
  • Negotiate and administer five (5) Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
  • Develop and conduct training for leaders on labor laws, union matters, and CBA provisions.
  • Partner with ELR, HR, and Managers to develop long-term strategies for employee engagement and retention.
  • Analyze trends in employee and labor relations and propose solutions to mitigate risk.
  • Act as a thought leader in shaping the organization’s employee and labor relations practices.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • Average 5 years labor relations experience.
  • Experience with union contract negotiations.
  • Preferred: SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification(s), proven knowledge of employment laws and labor relations practices, strong written, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, ability to collaborate effectively and independently across teams, continuous improvement mindset and experience.

Pay and Benefits

  • The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD.
