Sr. Manager, HFC - Coastal East Region

Position Overview

Lead and direct Engineering staff in design, deployment and maintenance of Headend, IP, HSD, VOD, VoIP and Digital Video systems.
Work in concert with the Corporate Technology group to design and implement the most effective solutions for our customers, based on current and future network topologies of Mediacom Communications.
Develop, provide and maintain positive communication with vendors for diagnosing and rectifying problems.
Actively participate in capital budget as it relates to engineering new services.
Hire and develop engineering team.
Facilitate goal setting and development of performance measurement tools used to manage staff.
Assure compliance with all FCC and other regulatory entities.
Inform Vice President, Engineering, in a clear, concise and timely manner of unresolved technical issues.
Develop and participate in technical disaster recovery plans.

Position Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience required.
• 10 +years industry or related industry experience.
• Strong Leadership Skills – previous management experience required.
• Excellent Computer skills including; Microsoft Office Products, (Visio Excel Word) Use of CAD system a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• VOD systems knowledge preferred.
• Understanding of engineering based on ROI and IRR preferred.
• IP background a plus.
