Sr. Manager, Global Planning
About the role
The Sr. Manager, Global Product Planning is responsible for leading global product planning activities to ensure optimized demand, supply, and inventory outcomes across the product lifecycle. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for global product planning processes, drives cross-functional alignment with Manufacturing, Fulfillment Planning, Procurement, Engineering, and Commercial teams, and ensures consistent execution across regions and factories.
Responsibilities
Own and lead end-to-end global product planning strategy across assigned product families, covering demand alignment, supply positioning, and inventory targets
Translate business priorities, portfolio strategy, and market signals into executable global product plans
Establish clear planning governance, decision rights, and escalation paths across regions and factories
Partner closely with Manufacturing, Fulfillment Planning, Production Planning & Control, Procurement, Engineering, and Commercial organizations to ensure aligned execution
Lead global alignment forums and drive consensus on constraints, priorities, and mitigation plans
Define and manage global inventory strategies by product family, balancing service level targets, working capital, and risk
Oversee supply positioning, allocation logic, and replenishment strategies across regions
Proactively identify supply risks, demand volatility, and lifecycle impacts; lead mitigation and recovery actions
Drive standardization and continuous improvement of global product planning processes, tools, and KPIs
Ensure consistent application of planning policies, assumptions, and methodologies across the organization
Support integration with enterprise planning systems (e.g., IBP, ERP) and data governance initiatives
Lead, coach, and develop a team of global product planners, fostering accountability and high performance
Build planning capability through clear role definition, skills development, and succession planning
Promote collaboration, transparency, and a problem-solving culture across geographically dispersed teams
Requirements
5+ years of people leadership experience, leading cross-functional and/or geographically distributed teams
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data, evaluate trade-offs, and support strategic and operational decisions
Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration (or related field)
APICS certification preferred
SAP experience required

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is $187,070 - $257,224 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
