About the role

The Senior Manager of Global Launch Process & Strategy is a senior strategic leadership role responsible for the design, development, and enterprise-wide implementation of Lucid’s Global Launch Excellence Process. This leader will establish a comprehensive architectural framework and standardized methodologies—including a robust Launch Excellence Playbook—defining best practices for program timing, financial governance, reporting transparency, and cross-functional execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, authoring, and maintenance of comprehensive global standards for vehicle and powertrain launch phases, ensuring all processes meet OEM expectations and internal quality mandates.
  • Develop standardized methodologies and templates for program scheduling and financial tracking to be utilized by all program launch teams.
  • Design and implement standardized cross-functional reporting tools and dashboards to ensure consistent, transparent status updates across the global portfolio.
  • Lead the deployment of new launch standards across the organization, providing necessary training and tools to ensure successful adoption by local execution teams.
  • Establish continuous improvement feedback loops from current launches to refine and update standards, ensuring lessons learned are formally integrated into future processes.
  • Monitor the application of launch standards globally to ensure consistency and compliance, intervening to course-correct process deviations as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience in the automotive sector, with extensive experience in vehicle and powertrain launch and quality.
  • Significant career history of personally delivering complex launch programs, providing the foundational real-world experience required to design standards for others.
  • Proven track record in the design and organizational roll-out of high-level launch standards, reporting protocols, and budgetary frameworks.
  • Ability to conceptualize complex manufacturing and engineering workflows into repeatable, scalable processes.
  • Deep mastery of automotive launch and quality gate systems, specifically for powertrain and vehicle assembly.
  • Ability to create intuitive, data-driven systems for managing multi-million dollar launch budgets and critical path timing.
  • Skilled at defining and communicating high-level strategy and process requirements to both technical teams and executive leadership.
  • Experience in shifting organizational culture toward increased transparency and standardized reporting.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required, with some trips potentially lasting several weeks or months.
