Sr. Manager, Digital Media (Strategic Projects)
Hybrid role based in New York City, requiring 3 days onsite per week. Start date: ASAP. 6-month contract with eligibility for health, dental, vision, and 401K benefits. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
About the Role
This strategic position on the Digital Media team leads performance marketing initiatives across Paid Search (including Performance Max, Demand Gen, Apple Search Ads), YouTube, and Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, LinkedIn) for high-priority business initiatives. The role combines hands-on media expertise with strategic leadership, partnering across multiple business units to develop full-funnel acquisition strategies that drive customer growth, subscription acquisition, and ecommerce revenue. Ideal candidates thrive in ambiguity, build processes from the ground up, and excel at translating business objectives into scalable media strategies.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Project Leadership: Lead media strategy and execution for cross-functional, high-priority business initiatives. Partner with internal stakeholders to align business goals with integrated media plans. Navigate ambiguous projects and establish scalable processes.
- Cross-Channel Media Strategy: Develop and execute media strategies across Paid Search (text, shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Apple Search Ads), YouTube, and Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, LinkedIn). Build full-funnel acquisition strategies supporting digital subscription growth and ecommerce objectives. Translate business priorities into actionable media recommendations and investment plans.
- Campaign Management: Own media planning, forecasting, budget allocation, pacing, and optimization. Partner with external agencies and internal channel specialists to execute campaigns. Monitor performance and maintain reporting dashboards to communicate business impact.
- Testing & Measurement: Develop testing roadmaps and learning agendas. Lead A/B testing, multivariate testing, incrementality studies, and conversion lift initiatives. Optimize campaigns and customer acquisition funnels using performance insights.
- Creative & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with creative teams to align messaging, assets, and media strategy. Collaborate with product, analytics, ecommerce, and business stakeholders to ensure campaign success. Serve as the strategic media expert across departments.
- Ad Technology & Tracking: Oversee media tagging, event tracking, and campaign measurement. Manage web and mobile app acquisition campaigns, including app installs and post-install conversion optimization. Support implementation and optimization of attribution and measurement solutions.
- Partner Management: Build and maintain relationships with agency partners, publishers, and platform representatives. Evaluate new media opportunities, audience strategies, and emerging technologies to improve performance.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience leading digital media strategy and execution across Paid Search, Paid Social, and YouTube.
- Deep experience managing campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Apple Search Ads, with exposure to platforms such as Pinterest, Reddit, and Search Ads 360.
- Proven success optimizing campaigns toward revenue-focused KPIs including CPA, ROAS, customer acquisition, and subscription growth.
- Experience managing app acquisition campaigns, including install and post-install optimization.
- Familiarity with Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) such as AppsFlyer preferred.
- Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including tag management, audience platforms, attribution, and measurement.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large dataset analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Experience within acquisition marketing, ecommerce, retail, direct-to-consumer, subscription, or app-based businesses is highly preferred.
Pay
$60–64/hour (W2).
