Sr. Manager Corporate Accounting and Reporting - Region Americas
Job Purpose
Roles that specialize in ensuring that financial accounting practices within all DHL Group entities are compliant with both internal and external financial policies, standards and legal requirements in order to provide full confidence to shareholders and other key stakeholders of the quality of the financial data provided.
Your tasks
- Making sure that accounting and reporting in the region Americas are done correctly
- Answering questions from people like the CFO, Investor Relations, Controlling, SSC, and other finance colleagues about the financial data of the region Americas
- Helping companies in the region Americas with their monthly data in SAP and making sure it's done right
- Ensuring that the companies in the region provide the right information to the headquarters for financial figures
- Working with the headquarters to solve problems raised by local auditors during quarterly reviews or year-end audits
- Supporting companies in the region with any quality and compliance issues, including aligning with accounting guidelines and complying with regulations
- Doing a comparison between what was expected and what was actually reported to find out why there were big differences
- Helping companies set up new businesses and make sure they're following the right rules
- Working with the corporate treasury and tax departments to solve any cash, foreign exchange, functional, or reporting currency issues
- Working with the business strategy team and the GBS Legal department to make sure mergers and acquisitions are done according to IFRS requirements
- Attending regular meetings to discuss matters related to the Americas
- Talking to finance colleagues about SAP and IFRS accounting topics
- Being responsible for the entire balance sheet and profit and loss statement for the Americas across different divisions
- Having deep knowledge in IFRS and SAP and being able to help with complex accounting projects
Profile
- Excellent knowledge in accounting, IFRS, and SAP
- Experience working in an international environment for the Americas
- Education in Business or Accountancy with 10-15 years of experience or a Master's/Doctorate in a related field with 8-12 years of experience
- Preferred experience in a Big 4 audit firm
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with German being a plus
