About the role

Lead North America HR Accounting activities, including payroll accruals, share-based compensation, pensions, post-retirement benefits, annual incentives, and global mobility programs. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS, internal accounting policies, and financial control standards. Oversee month-end close activities, including journal entry reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis. Review and assess the accounting impact of changes to employee benefit plans, compensation programs, and relevant accounting standards. Drive the execution and effectiveness of internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit readiness across HR-related accounting processes. Partner with cross-functional teams including HR Operations Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Executive Compensation, Employee Relations, External Financial Reporting, Technical Accounting, FP&A, Internal Audit, and External Auditors to resolve complex HR accounting matters and support business objectives. Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reporting accuracy.

Responsibilities

Requirements

The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English 7 Years of Relevant Experience 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership Sponsorship/Relocation: No Prefer CPA Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot and automation solutions to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, financial modeling, pivot tables, and management of large datasets and sophisticated spreadsheets Experience with SAP and related financial or HR systems for reporting, reconciliation, workflow management, and process optimization Knowledge of share-based compensation accounting, including stock compensation, equity awards, incentive plans, and related financial reporting requirements. Demonstrated adaptability and continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process enhancement, automation, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
