Sr. Manager, Core Business Systems
About the role
The Senior Manager, Core Business Systems is responsible for leading the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications that support core business operations. The scope includes HRIS platforms, enterprise content management (ECM), customer communications management (CCM), and related business systems. This role combines hands-on execution leadership, operational discipline, business partnership, and people leadership, including management of a team of direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of key business systems, including enhancements, releases, upgrades, integrations, and production support.
- Own delivery outcomes across scope, schedule, quality, risks, dependencies, team capacity, and measurable business value.
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure requirements are well-defined, prioritized, and effectively executed.
- Provide day-to-day oversight across delivery activities, ensuring priorities reflect business objectives, operational needs, and available capacity.
- Cook up integrations across internal and external platforms, data flows, APIs, vendor systems, and enterprise services.
- Stay close to the work by understanding delivery status, removing blockers, supporting issue resolution, and helping teams navigate complex implementation challenges.
Qualifications
- 10 to 15 years of experience in enterprise systems, application delivery, technology operations, or related IT roles.
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading teams, including performance management, coaching, capacity planning, and delivery oversight.
- Experience supporting or implementing enterprise platforms such as HRIS systems (e.g., Workday), enterprise content management (ECM), customer communications management (CCM), or similar applications.
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, including requirements, development, configuration, testing, release management, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Experience leading teams responsible for production support, enhancements, releases, integrations, and vendor-managed platforms.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to connect technology delivery to measurable business outcomes, including reliability, efficiency, user experience, quality, and risk reduction.

Pay Range
Anticipated Hiring Range: $140,000 - $165,000 annual base salary depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location
$150,000 - $180,000 annual base salary depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location in CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, and PA
