About the Role

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a PR expert to join its integrated marketing team to lead the creation and execution of high-performing earned and organic campaigns. The Senior Manager of Public Relations will support the Samsung Digital Appliances division, which includes industry-leading refrigerators, cooking, and laundry innovations. This role collaborates closely with local integrated and product marketing teams, external agencies, and the Global PR team to increase awareness for product launches, develop end-to-end strategies, manage strategic product review programs, and cultivate innovative ideas to maintain market share and drive product conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Drive PR activities for Samsung’s and Dacor’s appliances lineup, including end-to-end planning, strategy, and execution of multi-touch campaigns that extend beyond traditional PR efforts.
  • Analyze real-time cultural trends relevant to Samsung’s target consumer, as well as industry and competitor activity, to inform creative earned-first campaigns.
  • Oversee content calendar planning across PR and media influencer channels.
  • Directly manage PR agency partners, including development of creative briefs, project management, RFPs, contracts, and billings.
  • Develop strategy and attend industry events to drive buzz for the brand and products.
  • Ensure effective project management with clear communications across all stakeholders for flawless execution.
  • Create and manage dashboards to measure PR impact and shape new thinking for a results-oriented approach to drive product conversion.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree and at least 8+ years of consumer Public Relations experience with demonstrated success in product media relations, including proactive trend spotting and ownership of results.
  • Experience with the earned and new media landscape, with the ability to shape planning with agency partners.
  • Passion for and/or experience in consumer electronics and technology (a plus).
  • Up to 25% travel required.
