Sr Manager Clinical Relations

Chamberlain comprises the College of Nursing and the College of Health Professions. The College of Nursing offers a three-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program and flexible post-licensure programs, including the RN to BSN option, Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and graduate certificates. The College of Health Professions offers Master’s degrees in Public Health, Social Work, and Physician Assistant Studies.

We operate on a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week (Monday–Thursday) to enhance collaboration, creativity, and relationship-building. Chamberlain is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

About the role

This position manages teams in clinical operations for business processes, analytics, clinical coordination, and partner relationships for both pre- and post-licensure programs across campuses and online for nursing and the College of Health Professions. The role serves as the primary liaison and leader supporting Executive Campus Directors, Deans of Academic Affairs, Program Deans, Directors of Clinical Coordination, data/reporting teams, vendors, and experiential learning processes. This position also oversees the full implementation of clinical operations at new campuses and plays a critical leadership role in advancing clinical partnership strategy, optimizing clinical placement processes, and enhancing the student experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage implementation of clinical operations at all new campuses and new BSN online hub markets, including developing and managing training plans, assessing skill mastery, providing oversight during startup, and managing a float pool to assist new campuses.
• Conduct regular touchpoints with key stakeholders for data, business operations, and clinical coordination.
• Identify and lead process improvement efforts and changes in clinical coordination and partnership management.
• Maintain expertise in regulatory and compliance standards, identify trends impacting clinical operations, and recommend changes across regions and locations (online and campus).
• Ensure accurate and timely college communications related to student services and clinical operations, including preparing analytics, data dashboards, clinical inventory, usage reporting, and documenting clinical learning evaluations.
• Oversee and guide processes and resources for BSN online programs related to clinical coordination and market/partner development.
• Responsible for oversight and maintenance of all policies specific to clinical operations in alignment with university catalogs and governance guidelines.
• Collaborate with other Senior Managers of Clinical Relations (Sr MCRs) to communicate and train on policy changes related to clinical operations.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop Clinical Coordination Specialists and/or new Sr Managers of Clinical Relations.
• Lead and manage ongoing efforts to identify and manage key clinical partner accounts based on utilization, geographic priority, and growth potential.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic healthcare partners.
• Analyze data trends (e.g., utilization, capacity, gaps) to inform decision-making and operational strategy.
• Partner with academic leadership to proactively address risks impacting student progression.
• Participate in leadership forums, strategic planning sessions, and organizational initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (required).
• Master’s Degree (preferred).
• 3+ years of professional experience in an administrative and/or supervisory capacity (required).
• 7+ years of experience in clinical coordination, healthcare operations, and/or academic/practice partnerships (required).
• Ability to lead high-performing teams, including hiring, accountability, and development of direct reports.
• Excellent computer, written, and oral communication skills.
• Proven experience in relationship management and influencing external partners.
• Strong knowledge of clinical operations, compliance standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence peers, superiors, and indirect reports in a matrix organization.
• Adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is between $80,337 and $145,077. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience, training, geographic location, licensure, certifications, market factors, departmental budgets, and responsibility.
