About the Role
The Change & Organization Activation (COA) Center of Excellence (COE) partners with leaders to support the human side of transformation, accelerate adoption, and deliver lasting business impact. Our mission is to make transformation work by building enterprise change capability and embedding new ways of working. This role is part of the Future of Marketing Program, which aims to evolve McDonald’s global marketing model to be more connected, efficient, and effective, with a focus on data, measurement, and decision support.
This position reports to the Director of Change Management within the COA COE, with matrixed alignment to program leadership. The Sr Manager, Change Management will lead holistic change planning and execution and manage a team of direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Lead large, complex change management projects, including developing and executing strategies to drive adoption of business and technology initiatives.
- Design, deliver, and manage clear, effective communications to support understanding and alignment across stakeholder groups.
- Conduct change impact and readiness assessments; identify and engage key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
- Develop and implement change action plans, including training and targeted interventions to support adoption.
- Identify change-related risks and design mitigation strategies to ensure sustained outcomes.
- Assess and validate user readiness to enable smooth go-lives and transitions.
- Define success measures, track progress, and monitor adoption and change effectiveness using data and insights.
- Drive adoption with the "One McDonald's Way of Doing Change" by staying current on leading practices and applying them to enterprise strategy.
- Partner with functional leaders to scope and deliver change management support aligned to business and market needs.
- Advise and coach leaders on change strategy, execution, and measurement to strengthen change leadership capability.
- Lead change workstreams using established frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess change impacts and risks, and define value realization, including KPIs and adoption metrics.
- Turn business goals into impactful change programs with measurable results.
- Coach and mentor team members to build change management capability and foster a collaborative, inclusive culture.
- Set clear expectations and accountability to enable strong, consistent delivery.
- Provide targeted coaching and ongoing support to strengthen performance and confidence.
- Apply and promote enterprise change frameworks to build change capability across partners, practitioners, and business leaders.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of change training programs by documenting requirements and partnering with internal and external experts.
- Identify and engage influential partners to champion change and inspire adoption across initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience leading complex, enterprise-scale change management initiatives across business and technology transformations.
- Experience includes strategic advisory to senior leaders, cross-functional alignment, multi-wave execution, platform-enabled service transformation, and measurable adoption and value realization in a global environment.
Skills
- Marketing and service transformation leadership, with experience aligning cross-functional teams to shared operating models, governance, and service standards.
- Platform- and product-led change expertise, including understanding how enterprise platforms reshape roles, behaviors, ownership, and user expectations.
- Experience-led adoption and service design capability, translating personas, journeys, and audience needs into targeted adoption strategies.
- Multi-wave transformation execution, including phased rollouts, interim states, parallel migrations, and sustained engagement over time.
- Executive influence and facilitation, with the ability to shape value-based narratives, surface trade-offs, and guide leaders through sequencing, dependencies, and adoption risks.
- Ability to lead complex, enterprise-scale change initiatives across business, technology, and multi-stakeholder transformations.
- Design and execute end-to-end change strategies that accelerate adoption, reduce risk, and deliver sustainable business outcomes.
- Apply proven change methodologies, tools, and frameworks to assess impacts, readiness, risks, and mitigation needs.
- Influence and align senior business, functional, and technology leaders without direct authority.
- Develop clear, compelling communications and engagement plans tailored to diverse stakeholder audiences.
- Define adoption metrics, KPIs, and value measures; use insights to monitor outcomes and continuously improve execution.
- Coach and develop change practitioners while building scalable enterprise change capability, training, and community practices.

Pay
The expected salary range for this role is $141,955.00 - $177,444.00 per year. The final salary will consider experience and other job-related factors.
This position is bonus eligible and offers long-term incentives, including stock or other equity grants pursuant to McDonald’s long-term incentive plan.
