About the role

The Sr. Manager of Category Strategy & Insights (OXO) will work closely with the marketing and sales organization to support the development of category strategies and sales tactics to drive growth within our customers and categories.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, understands, and interprets point of sale and syndicated data.
  • Synthesizes findings into recommendations.
  • Builds a complete category management review including relevant data and recommendations.
  • Develops and influences strategy at both retailer and manufacturer levels, with management level positions.
  • Works with senior customer leadership at the Senior Buyer/Merchant or DMM level.
  • Uses syndicated data sources: IRI/Circana, Numerator, Nielsen, Household Panel.
  • Uses JDA Space Planning software.
  • Uses Excel and PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Provides analytics using all Category Management capabilities, such as planogram software and data visualization tools to drive business opportunities and develop recommendations.
  • Cultivates business relationships with customers' key contacts.
  • Presents analysis & insights into customers' merchandising organization.
  • Crafts and refreshes Category Management reporting, analysis, and special project work for our Marketing & Sales organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or Quantitative Field (Computer Science, Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, etc.).
  • 5+ years’ experience in Consumer Product Goods.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a combination of Category Management, Analytics, or Sales.
  • 2+ years’ experience in category management or retail analytics.
  • Extensive knowledge of syndicated data sources: IRI/Circana, Numerator, Nielsen, Household Panel.
  • Knowledge of JDA Space Planning software.
  • Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate seasonal workload.
  • Able to travel domestically (15%).

  • Ability to simultaneously prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Capability to develop and influence strategy at both retailer and manufacturer, with management level positions.
  • Experience working with senior customer leadership at the Senior Buyer/Merchant or DMM level.
