Sr. Manager Business Continuity and Emergency Management

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Manager Business Continuity and Emergency Management to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will oversee business continuity and emergency management efforts that help safeguard critical operations and strengthen organizational resilience. You will develop and maintain continuity programs, recovery strategies, and risk-based plans that support rapid response during disruptions and disasters. The position partners closely with emergency management and operational leaders to test readiness, validate plans, and improve preparedness across the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of business unit continuity programs in line with best practices.
• Identify and implement core components for effective continuity plans and risk assessments.
• Drive recovery strategies for critical business functions during disasters.
• Coordinate preparation and crisis response efforts with Emergency Management.
• Manage regular validation and testing of Business Continuity Plans.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business continuity, risk management, or emergency management.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Certifications in Project Management (PMP), Emergency Management (FEMA), or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) are a plus.
• Proven leadership experience in business continuity or emergency management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

$112,700 – $187,800 annually
