Sr. Manager Actuarial and Analytics – Worker Compensation Loss Reserving
What Is the Opportunity?
Business Insurance is seeking a Sr. Manager to join our WC Loss Analytics and Reserving team. The Sr. Manager, Actuarial and Analytics, is an analytical role responsible for reserve analysis and loss analytics for the Guaranteed Cost Workers Comp markets.
Duties
- Quarterly analysis of prior and current years, reflecting changing internal and external dynamics
- Communication of results to management and business partners
- Ensuring proper use of reserving methods
- Meting all reporting and booking deadlines
- Addressing all documentation and audit requirements
- Driving one or more of our reserve modernization projects
What Will You Do?
- Strategy: Lead strategic planning and project execution
- Operational: Perform actuarial and analytic analyses, support department initiatives, and provide analytical solutions
- Communication: Regularly communicate analysis, project results, and business initiatives to staff, peers, and business partners
- Talent: Manage direct reports, develop talent, and support training initiatives
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- College degree in STEM related field
- Associate Actuarial Credential
- Strong PC skills (MS Office) and programming skills (eg.SQL, SAS)
- 5+ years of quantitative analysis experience
- Strong understanding of insurance products and industry
- Demonstrated ability in actuarial and quantitative analysis and statistical concepts
- Management experience
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in quantitative analysis
Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. Salary Range $120,400.00 - $198,700.00 Target Openings 1
