Main Responsibilities
- Support Operations: Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, maintenance teams, and site projects.
- Work Order Management: Complete all work orders and time entries accurately in the CMMS system.
- Training & Development: Work with the Asset Care Manager to train and mentor maintenance technicians and manufacturing operators in maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Perform daily checks and scheduled PM activities on site-wide equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of system failures and perform necessary repairs. As such, the technician will provide SME support to deviation investigations as needed.
- Collaboration: Assist other technicians and teams to support site-wide maintenance and projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to maintenance practices and equipment reliability.
- Other Duties: Execute additional tasks as assigned to support operations.
Technical Scope
- Preventive maintenance and repair of industrial/process equipment.
- Instrumentation and electronics, including PLCs.
- Electrical systems (single-phase and three-phase 480V).
- Manufacturing equipment: Bioreactors, Centrifuges, Autoclaves.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Decision-Making Matrix (DAI)
- D (Decider): Executes and decides on necessary actions to maintain equipment performance and reliability. Equipment Issue Reporting and Recommendations.
- A (Accountable): Presents data, identifies problems, and proposes solutions to supervisors or engineering teams. Site Maintenance Strategy and Long-Term Planning. Delivers training and ensures operators are properly qualified to perform routine tasks. Coordination of Major Repairs and Shutdowns.
- I (Informed): Receives updates on site strategy but does not participate in high-level decision-making. Operator Training on Basic Maintenance Tasks. Remains informed on all safety policies and compliance updates and applies them in daily activities.
- A/I (Accountable/Informed): Provides technical support and coordination, informed of scheduling and resource planning decisions. Safety and Compliance Communication.
About You
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in biotech, pharmaceutical, or food industries.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
