Sr Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Assumes responsibility for maintaining and repairing production equipment in a fluid environment. Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing equipment using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic skills. Perform facility maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, heating/air, etc.

Illustrative Duties

• Responsible for general repairs of the facility including, but not limited to, painting, roof repair, snow removal, and other miscellaneous repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills
• Must be able to demonstrate familiarity with all equipment and maintenance procedures:
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Break down repair
  • Replacement of equipment
  • Record keeping
• Install new equipment and modify existing equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning, dock shelter repair, basic grounds upkeep, fork lift repair, etc.
• Demonstrate required technical skills for the job:
  • Electrical
  • Welding
  • Piping
  • Woodworking
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC
  • PLC
  • Calibration of fluid meters

Minimum Requirements

• Requires a 2-year Electrical or Technical degree and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must have mechanical and electrical skills
• A strong knowledge of PLC preferred
