Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical (including 220V/480V systems), pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis to minimize recurring downtime.
- Repair or replace motors, drives, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, valves, and related production components.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting including circuits, panels, contactors, relays, and motor controls.
- Install, align, and commission new or relocated equipment.
- Perform welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, stainless steel) to repair or modify equipment and structural components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and emergency repair calls.
- Complete rebuilds and major component replacements as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and repair documentation.
- Maintain organized tools and work areas in accordance with safety standards.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels of parts and supplies.
- Submit purchase requisitions for needed parts or materials as directed; does not have independent budget authority.
- Participate in on-call rotation while plant operations are active.
- Work overtime, weekends, or extended shifts as operational needs require.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Working knowledge of 220V/480V electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
- Skilled in safe use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Basic computer skills for work order systems and documentation.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or related field is a plus.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Regular lifting of 50+ pounds.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching overhead.
- Prolonged standing and walking on concrete floors.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and manufacturing environments.
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/industrial plant setting.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and industrial equipment.
- May require evening, weekend, overtime, or on-call work.
