About the role

As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will repair and maintain all production and facility equipment, perform project work, and demonstrate a high regard for safety in performing any tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
  • Perform and improve preventive maintenance (PM) routines to reduce recurring issues and downtime.
  • Develop and execute plans to minimize equipment and facility downtime.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow 5S standards in the maintenance shop.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including scissor and articulating man lifts, as needed.
  • Use CMMS to manage PMs, work orders, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Leadership to track equipment performance, identify trends, and implement TPM strategies.
  • Support packaging operations and prototype development.
  • Perform facility maintenance (HVAC, lighting, water, electrical systems).
  • Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to maintenance staff and production teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory programs (e.g., LOTO, PIT, Arc Flash, Confined Space).
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and customer-focused maintenance.
  • Perform emergency repairs to minimize production impact.
  • At times, work an adjusted schedule to support team members or plant operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a related field (electrical, mechanical) or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years related manufacturing maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be goal oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to work well under pressure and succeed within a competitive environment.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and the ability to work independently with effective initiative.
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel).
  • Able to do light fabrication with metal and wood.
  • Read Electrical, Mechanical, and Pneumatic prints.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in PLCs, VFD’s, Servo’s, Electrical, Mechanical, and pneumatic systems for production machinery and support equipment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Dedication to development and seeking out training for self and the team.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the facility and organization.
  • Continuous improvement experience required.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stoop, reach, bend, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, and see.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision such as reading handwritten or typed material and the ability to focus.
  • Must be mobile and able to transfer from building to building.
