About the role
Bel is seeking enthusiastic, accountable individuals to join the hourly manufacturing team in Brookings, SD. Safety is the top priority, and all team members act as safety leaders while supporting each other through teamwork and continuous improvement. The role includes an in-depth training program and opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Set up the molding machine to form cheese.
- Adjust the machine during production to maximize productivity and product quality (e.g., proper cheese weight, shape, and texture).
- Start conveyors and other equipment associated with the molding machine.
- Run the machine during production and make adjustments as needed.
- Pull cheese samples for quality testing.
- Record the weight of cheese and track averages throughout the day.
- Maintain a clean working area during production.
- Work closely with the vat operator to ensure a constant product flow to the molding machine.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work-rule requirements.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, safety rules, food safety procedures, environmental protocols, and sanitation procedures.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

- Good fine motor skills.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, kneel, and crouch.
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lb.
