Machine Operator - Night Shift - $18.50/hour plus $1.00/hr shift differential- 6:00pm-2:00am Monday thru Friday

We are currently looking for a Machine Operator to be based out of Houston, TX. Reporting to the night shift Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot assigned machines.
• Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality.
• Set up and operate a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
• Complete documentation including daily production reports, regular quality inspections, and safety inspections of equipment.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.

Requirements

• Experience as a Machine Operator is a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of Production Procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Multitasking skills.

Pay

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $18.50/hour plus a $1.00/hour shift differential. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include overtime, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.

Schedule

6:00 PM - 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
