Sr. Long Wave Engineer

About the role

The Senior Engineer, Long Haul Wave owns the complete lifecycle of backbone wavelength services, from feasibility analysis and end-to-end optical design through provisioning, validation, customer turn-up, and final service acceptance. Operating within a single-owner delivery model, this role is accountable for delivering production-ready optical circuits across metro ingress, the national backbone, and metro egress while ensuring service quality, network stability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform feasibility analysis for new wavelength service requests.
• Design end-to-end optical solutions spanning metro ingress, national backbone, and metro egress.
• Provision and validate optical circuits to ensure production readiness.
• Manage customer turn-up and final service acceptance processes.
• Maintain service quality, network stability, and customer satisfaction throughout the service lifecycle.
