This Senior Lead Product Manager role is responsible for evaluating and determining the product(s) and/or features to be built and delivered to our customers. The role will build, align, and motivate a cross-functional team to develop a common understanding of customer pain points and the passion to solve issues and develop innovative solutions that delight customers. Positions located in Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York follow a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

  • Visionary and Strategist: Build the right cross-functional team to obtain a common understanding of customer pain points, empathy, and excitement for solving customer issues and driving product revenue. Articulate product strategy and vision across the enterprise for multiple products.
  • Customer Passion and Advocacy: Bring the customer viewpoint to the product design process with a demonstrated competency to actively listen to customer feedback across all touchpoints and channels. Leverage feedback into insights and build products and services that delight and inspire.
  • Creative Problem Solver: Work closely with marketing, research, analytics, design, and development partners. Use technical savvy and customer insights to develop real-world solutions in a highly collaborative environment. Drive development of value-added solutions for customers based on market and industry insights.
  • Commitment to Risk Management: Oversee the integration of strong risk and security controls. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Technical Understanding: Work directly with technologists to deliver market solutions. Clearly define requirements, groom user stories, motivate technical teams, and partner closely with technology.

Requirements

  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Typically, 9 or more years of progressive related work experience OR a post-secondary degree and at least 4 years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in design thinking and agile development process and methodology.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Proven experience in and passion for building and delivering great products.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting a product strategy, roadmap, and meeting product revenue targets.
  • Excellent listening and execution skills.
  • Background and drug screen.

Additional Requirements (For Developer Portal & Tools)

  • Documentation Quality & Governance: Own clarity, consistency, and compliance across all developer-facing content by defining editorial standards, coordinating cross-functional reviews, and maintaining a unified documentation strategy.
  • Developer Experience & Platform Ownership: Lead the evolution of the documentation platform, manage the vendor relationship, and incorporate developer-focused features while staying current with API/SDK ecosystem trends.
  • Developer Tools & Productivity Enablement: Integrate modern tooling into the docs portal, collaborate with engineering and DevRel to streamline the developer journey, and define metrics to improve onboarding, adoption, and satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree.
  • Certifications in design thinking and/or agile.
  • Prior experience working in payments, financial services, or a similar regulated industry.
  • People management experience.

Physical Requirements

Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer, involving sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment, including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers. Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay

The base pay scale for this position is:

  • Phoenix, AZ / Chicago, IL / Washington, DC: $150,000 - $200,000 USD per year.
  • New York, NY / San Francisco, CA: $180,000 - $240,000 USD per year.

Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan. Pay is subject to change and depends on factors such as job scope, market rates, geographic location, candidate’s education, experience, training, and specialized skills or certifications, as well as internal equity.
