Sr. Lead Product Manager
About the role
Early Warning powers and protects the U.S. financial system with solutions like Zelle® and Paze℠. As a Senior Lead Product Manager you will champion product direction, align cross-functional teams, and deliver innovative money movement experiences for consumers, financial institutions, merchants, and other ecosystem participants. Positions in Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York follow a hybrid work model to support collaboration. Candidates must independently be eligible to work in the United States at the date of hire; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Essential Functions
- Visionary and Strategist: Build the right cross-functional team to understand customer pain points, build empathy, and drive product revenue; articulate product strategy and vision across the enterprise.
- Customer Passion and Advocacy: Bring the customer viewpoint to product design by actively listening to feedback across touchpoints, translating it into insights, and building products that delight.
- Creative Problem Solver: Collaborate with marketing, research, analytics, design, and development to deliver real-world solutions using technical savvy and customer insights; leverage market and industry insights to create value-added solutions.
- Commitment to Risk Management: Oversee integration of strong risk and security controls and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Technical Understanding: Work directly with technologists to define requirements, groom user stories, motivate technical teams, and partner closely with technology.
- Area of Specialty – Money Movement: Define and execute new money movement use cases for Zelle that deliver differentiated experiences for consumers, financial institutions, merchants, etc.; partner with ecosystem participants to shape product direction and validate opportunities; lead product discovery; define experiences that optimize frictionless completion, trust, operational efficiency, and satisfaction; collaborate across Engineering, Design, Risk, Fraud, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Operations to deliver scalable, secure, customer-centric solutions; own the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept and business case through requirements, pilot execution, commercialization, and General Availability; define success metrics and monitor performance including adoption, payment lifecycle, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
Minimum Qualifications
- 9+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, commerce, or related industries.
- Proven experience taking products from idea to launch.
- Deep understanding of money movement across multiple disciplines—e.g., P2P, A2A, bill payment, and e-commerce.
- Strong customer discovery, product strategy, and roadmap development skills.
- Experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and create clarity for teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at similar money movement platforms.
- Experience building money movement products across multiple domains.
- Familiarity with digital wallets, embedded payments, alternative payment methods, real-time payments, or emerging commerce experiences.
- Experience launching pilot programs and scaling products to General Availability.
Pay
Base pay ranges (USD per year): Phoenix, AZ / Chicago, IL: $150,000 – $200,000; New York, NY / San Francisco, CA: $180,000 – $240,000. Candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits. Actual compensation is determined by job scope, market rates, location, education, experience, training, specialized skills, internal equity, and other legitimate factors at the time of offer.
