About the role

Join us as a Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the CIB line of business. You will be an integral part of a team developing high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you will conduct critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Engage technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose data and reporting solutions to meet current and future needs
  • Define the technical target state of your product and drive achievement of the strategy
  • Help define client experience, strategy, roadmap for product go-to-market, and breakdown of technical deliverables
  • Leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis and decisioning across the product family, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data
  • Participate in architecture governance bodies
  • Execute creative data and reporting solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs and technical credentials
  • Define data standards, governance, and best practices in compliance with regional and controls needs, including data retention policies
  • Develop data warehouse and data lake architecture ensuring data quality and data management processes
  • Solution designs for data, reporting, and analytics based on client needs, including API and data integration architecture
  • Understand business capability, features taxonomy, domain model, business process flow, client experience, and use cases
  • Architect scalable reporting architecture and BI solutions, define reporting data marts, semantic layers, and dashboard/reporting tools such as Tableau
  • Implement data pipelines and data transformation strategies

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on practical experience delivering Data Architecture and Reporting & Analytics solutions with practical cloud-native experience
  • Strong technical background with design and delivery experience using software patterns and principles
  • Experience as a functional architect (business/product)
  • Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements
  • Experience with domain models, business process flows, client experience, and use cases
  • Strong communication and leadership presence
  • Ability to partner with business teams to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions with a client experience focus

  • Payments/Acquiring experience
  • Relevant Data products certification
  • Cloud certifications
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools
  • Experience designing on cloud data platforms (AWS)

Pay

Base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. Eligible roles may receive commission-based pay and/or discretionary incentive compensation, paid in the form of cash and/or forfeitable equity, awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions.
