Senior Lead Architect - Data & Reporting
About the role

As a Senior Lead Architect, you will drive significant business impact by shaping the target state architecture across multiple domains and influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
Responsibilities
- Represent a product family in technical governance bodies and propose improvements to architecture governance practices.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate architecture analysis and decisioning, ensuring human-in-the-loop validation and proper handling of sensitive data.
- Guide the evaluation of current and new technologies using existing standards and frameworks, influencing peers and decision-makers to adopt leading-edge solutions.
- Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
- Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide software development lifecycle frameworks and practices.
- Establish reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across the software development lifecycle and toolchain, ensuring traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security controls.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience delivering data architecture, reporting, and analytics solutions with practical cloud-native experience.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and deep expertise in software architecture, applications, and technical processes within one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile).
- Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in architecture and engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements.
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with minimal oversight.
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for future state architecture.
- Strong judgment and communication skills to influence technical direction across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with domain modeling, business process flows, client experience, and use cases.
- Ability to partner with business teams to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions with a client experience focus.
- Proven experience designing solutions for data, reporting, and analytics based on client needs, API, and data integration architecture.
- Experience defining data standards, governance, and best practices in compliance with regional and controls needs, including data retention policies.
- Experience developing data warehouse and data lake architecture, ensuring data quality and data management processes.
