Sr. IT Support Technician
About the role
This position serves as the primary contact for providing technical assistance and managing technology resources. The role involves resolving on-site technical support requests and collaborating with IT Department personnel for guidance on more complex network and system-related problems. This includes maintaining the end-user computing environment by installing, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading computer devices, networking equipment, and other associated technology resources to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 desktop support for both Microsoft and Mac environments.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, and perform basic network troubleshooting.
- Manage user account access, including Active Directory password resets, group policy, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) with Duo.
- Serve as a primary technical support contact through various methods including phone, web conferencing, live chat, and on-site assistance.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current technology processes and track service requests within the IT Service Management ticketing system.
- Manage and support on-site network printers and multifunction devices.
- Collaborate on or escalate complex problems for resolution with other IT teams.
- Coordinate with leadership on asset management, including inventory tracking, vendor repairs, and equipment lifecycle upgrades.
Requirements
- An Associate degree or a vocational/technical degree in Information Technology is required. Combinations of education and work experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field is necessary.
- Experience with Tier 1 desktop support.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network topology and connectivity.
- Knowledge of account access management in Active Directory and MFA systems like Duo.
- Familiarity with both Microsoft and Mac operating systems.
- Experience with AV systems, including Crestron controls.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology is preferred.
- Certifications related to end-user computing support such as Microsoft, A+, Apple, or Avixa-CTS are desirable.

Pay
$25/hr + benefits
Schedule
100% onsite with expected hours of 8 AM to 5 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM. Occasional work after 5 PM or on weekends may be required for events.
