National Indemnity Company is seeking a Senior Finance Business Analyst to serve as a critical liaison between Finance and Technology teams, helping drive key financial reporting, close, reconciliation, and control-focused initiatives. In this highly visible role, you'll work directly with Finance leaders, accounting professionals, and technology teams to translate complex financial reporting requirements into scalable, reliable, and auditable technology solutions. What You'll Do Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements related to:Financial close and reconciliation processesStatutory and GAAP financial reportingIntercompany, reinsurance, and allocation workflowsFinance controls, audit support, and data lineageTranslate accounting and finance requirements into:User stories with clear acceptance criteriaFunctional specifications for reports, interfaces, and data solutionsTest cases and user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios supporting control validation and business outcomesPartner with Finance and Accounting teams to:Evaluate upstream and downstream system impactsIdentify data quality issues, process gaps, and control risksSupport production investigations related to financial results and reportingCollaborate with developers, QA teams, and data professionals to ensure solutions meet standards for:Financial accuracyData completenessRegulatory complianceAuditability and controls What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of related professional experienceExperience with data analysis and business systemsProficiency with SQL, Microsoft Office, and data manipulation toolsKnowledge of software testing methodologies and procedures5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting Finance or Accounting organizationsDirect experience working within an insurance carrier environment (P&C, Life, Health, or Specialty insurance)Experience supporting:Statutory (STAT) and/or GAAP reportingFinancial close and reconciliation processesIntercompany accountingReinsurance accounting operationsProven ability to translate accounting and financial reporting requirements into technical solutions and IT deliverablesExperience partnering with Controllers, Financial Reporting teams, Accounting Policy groups, Auditors, and other Finance leaders What Makes You Successful You Are Someone Who Thinks analytically and solves complex business problemsLearns quickly and adapts to changing prioritiesWorks independently while collaborating effectively across teamsBalances multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentMaintains confidentiality and professionalismDemonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracyEffectively researches alternatives and makes thoughtful recommendationsStrongly organizes, prioritizes, and executes work to meet deadlinesCan train and support others on processes and best practices We want you to be involved!
