About the role
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Investor Relations team. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and executing analysis, processes, and projects related to company and industry data, market surveillance, communications, shareholder analysis, valuation, analyst research, and earnings release preparation.
Responsibilities
- Perform market surveillance to obtain surveillance on market performance and expectations for EXC and peer companies.
- Prepare and distribute stock updates and monthly market summaries to EXC management.
- Maintain and update the IR Q&A document with relevant talking points.
- Work with the IR team to enhance fundamental analytical capabilities, focusing on Exelon and the broader utilities industry.
- Create and present internal and external presentations, including sell-side and EEI conference presentations, IR messaging meetings, annual investor sustainability report, quarterly financial reviews, leadership, and Board of Directors presentations.
- Develop and maintain the IR website, ensuring content is up-to-date and complete.
- Develop IR 101 materials to support the organization's growth.
- Analyze shareholders and shareholder trends for senior management.
- Leverage disclosure-related findings from regular IR model and sell-side model review processes to develop conference and public presentations.
- Prepare and distribute summaries of sell-side research to senior management as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of earnings release materials, including the development of the earnings presentation.
- Tie down earnings release materials for accuracy and consistency before release.
- Create post-earnings reaction materials for distribution to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- An MBA, CFA, or CPA is preferred.
- At least 5-8 years of combined experience in sell-side or buy-side research, investment banking, corporate development, corporate reporting, finance, and/or investor communications is required, with a minimum of 3 years of utility industry experience and/or experience in other financial or analytical roles in the company.
- A high degree of ethics and the ability to exercise judgment in interactions with senior management and maintaining the confidentiality of information is essential.
- Excellent analytical skills, including financial modeling experience and experience with analyzing and/or preparing financial statements, are required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary.
- Experience in compiling effective presentations is preferred.
- The ability to plan and execute with minimal oversight, demonstrate strong ownership and commitment to excellence, and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively is crucial.
