About the role
Your impact This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.
Responsibilities
- Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
- Design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, working closely with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world-class solutions for new facilities.
- Work on projects including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities.
- Gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other related engineering or technical field
- At least 6 Years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control
- Demonstrated experience in mission critical control systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA systems, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
- Professional Engineering License (PE) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering
- Extensive experience with Data Center control systems design, commissioning, and infrastructure components
- Experience preparing technical specifications, control narratives, and sequence of operations
- Served as discipline lead within a project team
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas
- Self-motivated with proven ability to learn quickly and continuously advance technical proficiency
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams
- Passion for critical facilities, infrastructure systems, and construction
- Experience mentoring Junior professionals and leading project teams
Qualifications
- Passport required for international travel
- Eligible for a U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $132,900.00 to $182,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
