About the role

Your impact This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
  • Provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
  • Design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, working closely with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world-class solutions for new facilities.
  • Work on projects including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks.
  • Gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to produce control system designs for a variety of processes and develop options and optimizations for all aspects of the process control, instrumentation, and automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other related engineering or technical field.
  • At least 6 Years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.
  • Demonstrated experience in mission critical control systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA systems, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering.
  • Extensive experience with Data Center control systems design, commissioning, and infrastructure components.
  • Experience preparing technical specifications, control narratives, and sequence of operations.
  • Served as discipline lead within a project team.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Passion for critical facilities, infrastructure systems, and construction.
  • Experience mentoring Junior professionals and leading project teams.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $132,900.00 to $182,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
