Responsibilities
- Knowledge of the latest evidence-based training methods for complex learning (e.g., inductive teaching and learning models)
- Experience applying the ADDIE Instructional Systems Design model
- Clarify complex concepts, ensure accuracy of content, and develop instructionally sound training solutions
- Design and develop complex interactive eLearning and instructor-led courseware of a technical nature
- Develop flow diagrams, storyboards, and other materials for complex learning solutions
- Collaborate with SMEs to gather content, create realistic scenarios, and ensure technical accuracy
- Test and provide Quality Assurance methodologies for learning objects
- Develop and edit supporting documentation for learning solutions
- Provide task leadership, manage workflows, oversee junior designers, and develop realistic time estimates and schedules
- Communicate effectively, including speaking and writing, and collaborate with team members
- Prioritize tasks under strict deadlines and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of adult learning methods and ADDIE model
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience with Captivate or similar training development tools
- Experience applying various methods to conduct analyses of training requirements
- Proficiency in identifying appropriate training delivery methods
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Education, English, Communications, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university (plus relevant work experience)
- Minimum eight (8) years of documented, relevant work experience in Instructional Systems Design with a directly related Master’s Degree OR Minimum ten (10) years of documented, relevant work experience in Instructional Systems Design with a directly related Bachelor’s Degree OR Minimum fourteen (14) years of documented, relevant work experience in Instructional Systems Design with no degree
