About the role
AlarMax Distributors is seeking to expand its Inside Sales Representative team at its Beltsville MD location. As an industry leader in distributing advanced solutions from key manufacturers, AlarMax operates 25 locations across the US and continues to plan for future growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers, generate leads, and increase sales
- Determine and communicate customers' needs, answer questions about products, and recommend appropriate solutions
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction
- Stay updated on product features and maintain branch appearances in high standards
- Achieve and exceed sales goals set by the department
- Source new sales opportunities through lead follow-up and outbound calling
- Accurately process sales transactions including invoicing, returns, and payments
- Build productive trust relationships with customers and colleagues
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Senior Sales Representative or similar roles (2-5 years)
- Previous exposure or experience with AV, CCTV, security, fire alarm, or surveillance products or installation
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Proficiency in English and basic math skills
- Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Track record of exceeding sales quotas and experience with upselling and cross-selling
- Hands-on experience with point of sale (POS) transactions and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with inventory procedures
- Active listening and strong communication skills
- Customer service focus and willingness to learn
- Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints promptly

Pay
