As a Senior HR Generalist & People Relations Partner at MKS, you will support employees and partner with business leaders at one or more local sites.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership and supervisors to align HR initiatives with business goals.
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees.
- Proactively assess and address trends to drive a culture aligned with MKS principles and standards.
- Handle employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution.
- Support managers in addressing performance concerns and implementing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Conduct inquiries, exit interviews, employee discussions, and feedback sessions.
- Partner with leaders and Talent Acquisition to support hiring needs.
- Coordinate onboarding and deliver orientation for new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state employment laws.
- Maintain accurate employee records using HR systems (Workday preferred) and manual tracking tools.
- Analyze HR data and report trends to leadership.
- Assist employees with leave of absence, Workers’ Compensation, and benefits-related inquiries.
- Partner with leadership and Total Rewards to support competitive compensation practices.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture across both sites.
- Identify development opportunities for employees and managers.
- Partner with HR teams to implement training and development programs.
- Participate in or lead HR-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field and 5+ years of HR Generalist experience.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, compensation, and employment laws.
- Ability to travel locally weekly (between Wilmington and Andover, MA) and support multiple locations.
- Occasional 3rd shift backup support for vacations and needs.
Preferred Skills
- Workday or similar HRIS proficiency.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Service orientation and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Flexibility to support different shifts (may include weekly hours to be available during 3rd shift).
- Ability to travel between MA sites in close proximity.
- On-site office and plant environment.
- Frequent use of computers and office productivity tools.
This position is located in Wilmington, MA. Relocation benefits are not available for this position. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Pay
Salary Pay Range: $88,000 - $147,000 per year. This range is a good faith estimate based on qualifications, experience, operational and business needs, and other considerations permitted by law. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
