About the Role

The Senior HR Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to assigned business units, with a primary focus on supporting Operations. This role acts as a trusted advisor to operations leaders and front-line managers, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, workforce planning, and compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate agility, adaptability, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This highly collaborative position requires strong judgment, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization. The role is based in Deer Park, TX or can be remote; candidates must reside within reasonable proximity of a major commercial airport to support travel requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with management to communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, laws, and best practices.
  • Protect the interests of employees and the company in accordance with HR policies and governmental laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Handle employee relations counseling, disciplinary actions, separations, and exit interviews.
  • Maintain employee-related databases; prepare and analyze reports for departmental and company needs; generate periodic reports for management as requested.
  • Assist with the development of Human Resources policies; provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions.
  • Lead and participate in HR-related projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of HR experience, including demonstrated experience in an HRBP or similar strategic HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state laws across multiple states.
  • Prior experience supporting Operations.
  • Demonstrated agility, adaptability, and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the HR team.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Experience with ADP or another HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
  • Knowledge of California employment law.
  • Prior employee relations experience, including conducting investigations, managing disciplinary processes, and advising managers on complex employee matters.
