About The Team

The Workday Success Plans (WSP) Team are all about our customers and their post-launch journey. We build programs to help them drive business value from their Workday applications. The team delivers a variety of programs and services to our customers ranging from feature demonstrations to full feature deployments. About The Role

As a Sr. Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Workday's product solutions. You will provide your implementation expertise to our clients while understanding how to best configure and test Workday solutions to meet their business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide implementation expertise for Workday product solutions
  • Configure and test Workday solutions to meet client business requirements
  • Deliver effective product demonstrations as part of enablement programs
  • Work multi-functionally as a “virtual” team leader
  • Influence, interact, and collaborate with senior management and technical resources both internally and externally
  • Distill complex concepts into understandable presentations for customers
  • Understand sophisticated, technical process issues and facilitate/influence decision making

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HCM Reporting, Analytics, and Data warehousing experience for enterprise software applications
  • 3+ years of proven ability building and maintaining Workday HCM Reporting & Analytics
  • Broad and deep understanding of all areas of Workday HCM Reporting & Analytics including Report Writer, Prism Analytics, Composite Reporting, Calculated Fields, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Worksheets
  • Demonstrable understanding of professional services and enablement services as it relates to enterprise software in the Cloud
  • Experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft or similar software applications
  • Experience working with BI Tools (Tableau, QlikView, Cognos, Business Objects)
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts with an ability to manipulate data using software tools and SQL
  • Workday Certification in at least one of the following: Workday Financials, Workday HCM, Workday Reporting
  • Ability to gain a thorough understanding of Workday concepts as new features are released
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required
  • Professional services experience is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to customize approach for a variety of audiences
  • Capable of influencing and collaborating with senior management and technical resources

Pay

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.

  • Primary Location: USA.IL.Chicago - $122,800 USD - $184,200 USD
  • Additional US Location(s) - $111,000 USD - $197,300 USD
